Yang Heng,
born in the province of Hunan, sudied camera at the Film Academy in Beijing. Now he works as filmmaker and scriptwriter. Betelnut is his first feature length film and run very successful at international film festivals.

This is a story about the love and confusion among teenagers in a small and quiet town in summer. Ali and Xiao Yu have nothing else to do but stealing motorcycles, chatting in internet cafes, swimming in the river and hanging around. Both fall in love and have to start thinking about how to impress a girl and finally about their own future. In the end, nothing seems to have really changed.
